Graphite

Product introduction

Graphite is a crystalline form of carbon black, iron to dark gray. Soft, creamy feel, conductive. Chemically inactive, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali, etc. is not easy. To strengthen the heat reaction in air or oxygen, combustible and generate carbon dioxide. Strong oxidizing agent will be oxidized into it organic acid. Used as anti friction agent and lubricating material, making crucible, electrode, battery, pencil. High purity graphite in nuclear reactor for neutron moderator. Often referred to as carbon or graphite, because the former is mistaken for the lead.

Product use

1, For refractory material: graphite and its products with high temperature properties, high strength, in the metallurgical industry is mainly used to manufacture steel commonly used in graphite crucible, graphite as the protective agent of steel ingot, metallurgical furnace lining.

2, As a conductive material: used for manufacturing the electrode in electrical industrial brushes, carbon, carbon nanotubes, anode, mercury is converter graphite gasket, telephone parts, TV tube coating.

3, For wear resistant lubricating material: graphite is often used as a lubricant in the mechanical industry.

4,Graphite has good chemical stability, widely used in petrochemical, wet metallurgy, acid and alkali production, synthetic fiber, paper and other industrial sectors, can save a lot of metal materials.

5, For casting, casting, molding and high-temperature metallurgical material: Graphite due to thermal expansion coefficient is small, and the capability of cold and hot change, can be used as a mold of the glass, the use of graphite after black metal castings get precise size, smooth surface, high rate of finished products, can be used without processing or minor processing, thus saving a lot of metal.

6, For the atomic energy industry and national defense industry: graphite has a good neutron moderator in the atomic reactor, uranium graphite reactor is a more application of an atomic reactor.

7, Graphite can prevent boiler fouling, the unit test showed that, in the graphite powder by adding a certain amount of water (about 4~5 grams per ton of water) to prevent the boiler scaling on the surface of graphite. In addition to a metal chimney, roof, bridge, pipeline can rust.

8, Graphite can be used as a pencil core, pigment, polishing agent, graphite after special processing, can make a variety of special materials for the relevant industrial sector.

9, Electrode: the advantage of the graphite electrode is the processing speed is faster, the weight is lighter, the discharge consumption is smaller, the material cost is lower, there is no burr; and graphite is easier to grind and polish.
